Welcome to the Windmill

Standing proudly (and rather prettily) on Clapham Common is our iconic pub – haven for the hungry, the weary and those with a powerful thirst. Renowned locally (far-and-wide too) for being a bang-on pub for meeting up with pals for a decent pint, for flipping fantastic food, and for being super dog-friendly – of course.

Not only all that (and that is a lot) but we also have 42 eclectic, boutique-y bedrooms too.
Handily located a 5 minute stroll from Clapham Common and Clapham South tube stations, you can hit the shops, the West End, or any of the other London-y sights lickety-split.

Whether it’s a family 3-course sit down meal, supping on perfectly-poured pints or watching the UEFA Euro 2024™, we look forward to having you at the best pub in Clapham (in local Danny’s opinion, that is).

 From the buzz at the bar, enjoying a bottle of wine (the posh stuff) in the garden – plus potential cuddles with pub puppy Monty.

Chef Hamoun is a serious force to be reckoned with when it comes to Sunday roast. From our succulent roasted meats from the famous Ginger Pig to his oh-so-crisp roasties, pourable-perfection that is his gravy, and mountains of giant Yorkshires. Oh, and his show-stopping sharing roast is the best in the Clapham (possibly the world).
