Iconic Pub on Clapham Common

Standing proudly (and rather prettily) on Clapham Common is our iconic pub – haven for the hungry, the weary and those with a powerful thirst. Renowned locally (far-and-wide too) for being a bang-on pub for meeting up with pals for a decent pint, for flipping fantastic food, and for being super dog-friendly – of course.

Not only all that (and that is a lot) but we also have 42 eclectic, boutique-y bedrooms too.
Handily located a 5 minute stroll from Clapham Common and Clapham South tube stations, you can hit the shops, the West End, or any of the other London-y sights lickety-split.

Whether it’s a family 3-course sit down meal, supping on perfectly-poured pints or sipping on a spritz out the front, we look forward to having you at the best pub in Clapham (in local Danny’s opinion, that is).

Winter Set Menu

Winter’s here, and it’s officially comfort food season. So shake off the cold, pull up a chair and let us do the warming up with our Winter Set Menu. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill winter dishes. We’re talking hearty British classics, big, bold flavours and all the cosy, feel-good plates you’ve been craving when the temperature drops.

Settle in with 2 courses for £19 or go all out with 3 for £23 — because winter is far too long not to treat yourself. Cold outside, cosy inside… you know the drill.

6 Nations in Clapham

5th February – 14th March

Feel every clash, every try and every edge-of-your-seat moment of the 6 Nations live at The Windmill, Clapham. With big screens, a buzzing rugby crowd and perfectly poured pints of Guinness, this is where Six Nations match-days come alive in South London.

All tables are available on a first come, first served basis only. So get here early to get ahead of the game and bagsie the best seats in the pub.

 From the buzz at the bar, enjoying a bottle of wine (the posh stuff) by the fire – plus potential cuddles with pub dog Monty. 

Chef Hamoun is a serious force to be reckoned with when it comes to Sunday roast. From our succulent roasted meats from the famous Ginger Pig to his oh-so-crisp roasties, pourable-perfection that is his gravy, and mountains of giant Yorkshires. Oh, and his show-stopping sharing roast is the best in the Clapham (possibly the world).
